“I am Adonis "Tony" Filippes, the owner of SINODA PAINTING. I was born in New York City. My father was a union painter in the 70s and a contractor in the 80s and 90s. I fell in love with painting while working with my father during summers. When I reached the age of 15, I was the leader of four helpers for more than 10 painters and learned the ins and outs of prepping for painting.

I began painting at the age of 18 and participated in the painting of prestigious places, such as NASA, Quantico, Fort Detrick, Dover Air Force Base, Homestead, and many school districts and colleges, including UVA, Virginia Tech, James Madison University (JMU), Virginia State University, and the University of Mary Washington to name a few.

Trying to make the baseball big leagues, I sustained a back injury that forced me to try working in Corporate America where I was a supervisor at Bank of America. Feeling confined and missing the painting life, I left Corporate America and returned to my love of painting.

After many successful years in Richmond, Virginia, I decided to join my family in Evansville, Indiana, and the rest is history.
